What is the process of bike rental reservation?

To easily book your choice of bike with us, follow the simple steps below:

• Send us an e-mail, including your address, city, state and phone.
• Provide the latest fitting information and size of your actual bike, if you have it, if you don’t your fitting, don’t worry we will have the bike fitted to you when we deliver.
• Mark your racing day and check which options are available with us on that specific date.
• Agree to our terms and conditions.
• Pay the rental amount and get your choice of bicycle delivered at your hotel.

What are the rules of cancellation?

You can cancel your rental reservation up to four weeks (30 days) prior to the event with no charge.
If you cancel your bike reservation up to three weeks (21 days) prior to the event, there will be a charge of 25% of your rental fee.
For a cancellation up to two weeks (15 days) before the event there will be a 50% charge of the rental fee.
There will be no reimbursement of your rental fee if you cancel 14 days or less before the event.

How can I return the rented bike after usage?

Call us and we will pick up the bike at your hotel.
For certain events, there will be delivery and pick-up directly at the event location. Please check our website for details.

How early do I have to book my bike?

We work on a “first come, first served” basis. In order to assure availability of your racing bike we suggest you book with us as early as possible.

Do I have to pay extra for any damage caused to the bike?

Yes.


What types of bike does RaceBikeRental.com offer?

We cater to the triathlete and road cyclist that visits South Florida. For now we are not offering Track or Mountain Bikes.

What wheels/tires are included on the bike rental?

Our bikes are equipped with the original wheels supplied by the manufacturer.

What pedals are included on the bike rental?

The bikes are rented without pedals. We also offer Look KEO, Shimano and Speedplay, at an extra charge. Please specify at the moment of making your reservations.

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes.

Why do I have to sign a waiver?

As you know, cycling is a inherently dangerous sport. There are many variables that are independent of the bike, like the road conditions, your own skills, the other riders’ skills, your weight and fitting. We want to be sure that you understand that we are trying to do the best we can to provide you with properly maintained equipment, but the final responsibility of your safety relies on you. We can’t be held responsible for any accidents that might occur while you are renting our bikes.

Can I choose what bike brand I want to rent?

No. We guarantee that the bike will be of the size and with the same fitting measurements that you give us, and since we are always updating our bikes, it is very hard to supply you with an specific brand.

Why do we ask for your measures and dates of your last fitting?

When you arrive, the bike will be set to the measures that you provided us. If those measures are from a fitting more than a year old, we strongly recommend that you have your own bike fitted to you again, since your body strength and flexibility changes a lot in one year. We can then have those measures transferred to your rental bike.

Why do I have to authorize you to put a hold on my credit card for the full value of a new bike?

Our bikes are very sophisticated competition equipment, they are not designed for a beginner rider. If you just recently started competing, we want you to be aware that your safety and the safety of the bike are entirely your responsibility. If you suffer an accident, your medical expenses are your responsibility. Also, in case of an accident, the repairs of the bike are your responsibility, including the price of a new bike if the bike gets damaged beyond repair.

When will the hold on my credit card be released?

The hold on your credit card will be released as soon as the bike is returned to us in the same conditions that we rented it to you. Please consider that your own credit card company might take up to 15 working days to release the hold on your credit card. Please contact them to find out the specifics of their operation.

After your trip to South Florida is over, you just call us and the bike will be picked up then y0u can enjoy your flight home.

What should I do if I notice any damage on the bike when I receive it?

Your bike will be checked fully before we deliver it. We expect you to check for any cosmetic damage and note it on the form that you will sign when you receive the bike. Also, if you have any questions about the equipment or condition of the bike please ask us.

You are responsible for any damage not mentioned on the delivery form.

What if it rains during the competition?

Please remember that is a scientifically proven fact that the fastest way to the finish line, on a rainy day, is not to fall. If it rains during the competition, please use due diligence and caution to prevent you from falling.

What are my options if there is an accident and the bike gets damaged?

You have the following options:

1. Mark the damage on the return form and we will have our mechanics repair the bike. You will be charged the customary amount of the repair and parts against your credit card on file.

2. You can arrange for a bike shop where you return the bike to perform the necessary repairs, at your expense, to bring the bike to the conditions in which your received it. After we receive the repaired bike back you will have the full amount of the credit card hold released. If you choose this option, you will be responsible for the daily rental fee until the bike is repaired. The rental fee will be charged against the deposit, unless other arrangements are made.

How much time am I renting the bike for?
Since normally the competitions are held on weekends, the rental fee covers the rental for four days, from Friday to Monday. If the bike is not returned the Monday following the competition, you will be charged our daily rental fee until the bike gets returned.

What happens if the competition gets suspended for weather conditions?

You are still responsible for the rental fee. Please understand that our rentals are not weather dependent; we can’t be held responsible if your event gets canceled for weather conditions.
